Wow! What a game! There was so much to see and for many was considered an upset, but at this stage anything can happen. With Italy and Germany both being big powerhouses, we see a great game that left many people amazed with a great ending…

Italy vs. Germany:
Both teams poured it all in the field, but unfortunately one team ran away with the win. Italy stole the game from Germany, and it was and is a shame that this powerful German squad will not have a shot to show their full potential. Italy had most of the control throughout the game and was ahead at half, 2-0. Balotelli lit it up and was very dominant when he was in and unsurprisingly received a yellow card for taking his shirt off, but had a great game. Many Germans weren’t very effective and it lead to their downfall, although they scored in stoppage time at the end of the game, with Mezut Ozil scoring off a penalty kick. This goal would come at too late of a time to make a difference. It was a fun game to watch with a great ending, no doubt, but we were expecting more from this very dominant German squad. A major contributor to their downfall I believe was the amount of changes and subs the team made. With so many great subs and players, Germany had a lot to debate about, and hopefully we can see them being a great force in Brazil for 2014.
With a 2-1 win, the Italians are looking forward to a strong opponent, Spain. Both teams have something to fight for, Spain for their third major title to prove their legacy, and Italy for the hunger they’ve had for their next Euro Cup. No doubt it’ll be a great game with many great things to expect from both sides.
