After having my second pair of Vapor 8s (FG-Bright Mango colorway) fall apart, I knew it was time to switch things up to a different boot. Wanting to get the LZ, but having bought my Vapors at NikeTown, I could only get another Nike boot. After trying on the other boots in the Clash Collection I decided I liked the Tiempo Legend IV the best. The thing that first caught my eyes on this boot was the colorway. Whoever designed this colorway is a genius! The Black/White colorway can look good with any kit so I checked that off my list of Steps To Finding A Good Boot. The next thing I noticed was how light these boots were. Now some players may not think 9.6oz is that light, but for a Kangaroo Leather Heritage/Touch type of boot, that is pretty light in my mind.

The next thing I observed after the design and weight was the stud configuration. The stud configuration on the Vapor 8s really didn't work out for me, especially after having my second pair's studs begin to snap off. So I made sure whatever boot I purchased would have a four stud configuration on the back of the boot. Not only did this boot have a four stud config on the back, but the studs were much more reinforced. After seeing the design, weight, and stud configuration, I decided there was only one thing left to do: Try on the boot and see how the Kangaroo Leather differed from the Suede Teijin Microfiber Upper on the Vapor 8's. I laced up my Size 11 Tiempos and grabbed one of the balls in the store. I started to dribble around a little bit and let me tell you, the boot sticks to its purpose of being designed for Touch. The Kangaroo Leather upper felt amazing on my feet! It felt like I was in a much more comfortable and durable pair of Vapors. After I dribbled around a little bit I decided these were the boots for me.

I will begin testing the Tiempos tonight but be sure to check up on my page, Cronin-SR USA for more updates on how these boots are. Stay tuned for a First Experience Article also.
