Robin Van Persie Reaches Agreement with Manchester United

The Dutch striker has finally reached an agreement with Manchester United, and will make his departure from North London to Manchester before the beginning of the season.

After a long spell of speculation and rumors, Robin Van Persie has finalized his move from Arsenal. The striker will be coming off his greatest season wearing a Manchester United jersey, abandoning the club that helped him grow into the player he is today.

"Arsenal Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed for the transfer of Robin van Persie to Manchester United," Arsenal said. "Van Persie will travel to Manchester on Thursday in order to agree personal terms and complete a medical ahead of the proposed move."

The Dutchman joined Arsenal back in 2004, but hasn't been fully impressed with the clubs trophy count. Feeling that his time as a professional was limited, Van Persie felt the need to leave Arsenal in order to win trophies.

When the two ends finally sign the agreement, Van Persie will be joining a star-studded Manchester United side with the likes of Rooney, Giggs, and Ferdinand. Manchester United released a statement regarding the manner.
'Manchester United is pleased to announce it has reached agreement with Arsenal Football Club for the transfer of Robin Van Persie.'

Van Persie hopes to finalize the deal before the Reds season begins.
