Comfort
Mizuno never has issues with comfort and this release is no different. Extremely comfortable out of the box. You could use them in a game right off the bat with no problems, no break in period necessary! I originally got these cleats in Peru, my homeland. These are extremely difficult cleats to get in the U.S. and when I saw these down there I couldn’t say no. They fit just perfect, true to size all the way. The supple kangaroo leather produces a perfect glove like fit that will improve performance no matter what position.
Stud configuration
This classic stud configuration has been very controversial among many players and has raised some concern, but for me, I love this soleplate more than any other I’ve used. Many people think these cleats are too centered and cause an unbalanced feel, but I disagree. There have been no issues with balance, traction, or comfort on both firm ground and artificial turf.
Durability
Zero problems with durability, even after six months! The studs, upper, and soleplate have all held up extremely well for being used in countless training sessions and games. With good care they will always look like they came right out of the box. I have a pearl/red/black colourway that is very hard to keep clean, but screams nothing but pure class.
Negatives
No real negatives, just nitpicky stuff that a player would have to evaluate and the whole issue with getting your hands on a pair, although you may be able to find these and many other awesome Mizuno boots on eBay. Otherwise you’d have to pay for international shipping on ProdirectSoccer either based in England, Germany, or Italy, and you also might be able to get some if you order straight from Mizuno, but they would probably be shipped in from England or Japan. Aside from this shipping issue, I would only change two minor, picky things. For me though I changed the insole, although it was extremely comfortable, it kept sliding around in the shoe, so I installed an old pair of Adipure 2 insoles. I also took the Velcro off the tongue because it didn’t seem to help and it started to ruin the laces a little. But both off these are my personal preferences, so don’t be detoured to get your hand on these great boots!
Recap
A pair of great all around boot that scream pure class and suit any position. I’ve played with these in countless games as a forward, wing, center mid, and defender, and they don’t disappoint. The supple and soft Kangaroo leather provides great touch, crisp passing, and amazing comfort, and surprisingly these cleats aren’t heavy at all, they come in at 9.2 ounces! Although this does not rack up against the Adizero and Trinitys, they provide such a stable and comfortable fit that you don’t notice that your wearing a heritage boot!

ReplyDeleteOverall, this seems like a very rare, very amazing pair of cleats. They would definitely be a first choice when buying a brand new pair of cleats.
