Top Goalscoring Boot of Euro 2012

All soccer companies take advantage of large competitions to showcase their latest innovation in the boot world. This Euro was no different, with all companies trying to solidify their place with the best performing boot. Which boots have performed the best, and which have come up short?

With the final winners crowned, let's take a look at what boots helped players find the back of the net.
(Headers not included)

1. Nike Mercurial Vapor VIII
The new edition in the Vapor series was built to perform, and it has lived up to those expectations. A lot of players experienced issues with the Vapor VIII, but it seems that the professionals have had no problems with the boot.

Total Goals Scored: 15
Top Goalscorer : Cristiano Ronaldo with 2 goals

It comes at no surprise that the Vapor front man leads the tournament. Cristiano once stated  "I don't see myself playing in another boot." He further solidified this statement by helping Portugal all the way to the Semifinal, netting two crucial goals in the Quarters.

2. Nike CTR360 Maestri
Nike continues to dominate the charts with the CTR360 coming in second. The boot is labeled as a control boot, but obviously players have no trouble finding the back of the net with them on.
 Total Goals Scored: 9
Top Goalscorer: Mario Balotelli with 2 goals

Mario Balotelli has been constantly criticized for his off field antics, but he pushed those aside this Euro by scoring two amazing goals with his CTR360. One was a bullet long shot, the other was a crafted semi-bicycle kick.

3. Adidas F50 Adizero
It may not be as impressive as the 2010 World Cup, but the F50 Adizero once again finds itself as one of the top goalscoring boots. The lightest boot in the tournament, the F50 Adizero proves it's not only a speed boot, but a goalscoring boot.
Total Goals Scored: 8
Top Goalscorer: Petr Jiracek with 2 goals

The F50 Adizero itself didn't have a bad performance, but a few of the players who've worn them have. With the likes of Arjen Robben and and Ashley Young wearing the boots, it comes as a surprise that the top goalscorer was Jiracek.

4. Adidas Predator LZ
The LZ hasn't had as much of an impact as expected, coming in at a disappointing number 4.  Adidas totally reinvented the Predator, and it seems that players haven't quite adjusted.

Total Goals Scored: 5
Top Goalscorer:  Dimitris Salpigidis with 2 goals

Similar to the Adizero, the main LZ wearers like Nani and Xavi had a hard time finding the back of the net. Another lesser known player beat them out for the top spot.

5. Nike Total 90 Laser IV
The Laser couldn't seem to keep up with the LZ, but it did announce a return for Fernando Torres, who won the golden boot wearing the Laser IV.

Total Goals Scored: 4
Top Goalscorer: Fernando Torres with 3 goals

If anything positive can be taken from this situation, it's the fact that Fernando Torres has finally found the back of the net! The return of  "El Nino" has finally been completed, with Torres helping Spain win their third consecutive major tournament.

The remaining:
6. Puma Evo Speed with 3 goals
